yeah, sometimes it just doesn't make sense... since people that studied and wrote the books on genetics with breeds that have the genes isolated already... but since they are like i say, a genetic soup... you never know what you're going to get... since reading about seramas, i have seen two blacks give blues...!!! and recently, two blacks breeding 100% chocolates...!!!!!! that's a real shocker right there... makes no sense to me or others... but somehow, that's what they do...
maybe serama have like a reverse dilute..? a black gene..? hmm...
i was playing with him this weekend, and i didn't take any recent pictures... epic fail...
Nice boy ya have there Gumbii!!!!! He does look familiar................you better watch out, someone might snatch him from ya!!!
italianchicksrule, in US we call him double laced cocopop silver duckwings...European call him bronze tailed silver neck double laced. Below are a few European's written standard for difference variation of the cocopop we call in the US. I am currently working with the bronze tailed silver neck double laced variety, I have a hard time produce the hen close to the written description. I know I will have to clean up their hackles and saddles of stipping once I have the color clamp down. I can always speed up my project by buy everything I need from other breeders but then I decided on work with what I have to see where it takes me. Its not an easy task but hey, life without challenge is meaningless!!!!!
