if the smell is really getting to you, i would switch food... i give all of my serama and OEGB a gamecock mix... it's mostly grains and meat pellets... i now get a 15% gamecock mix for the serama and a 18% for the OEGB... no smell... the egg layers get lay pellets... they stink... but they're on dirt, so it's all gravy...

the egg thing... give her some time... they do that sometimes... it could be many many things... environment, climate, temperature, amount of light... even where the cage is... but once she sets in, she'll be fine...

you can use coal tar oil to keep the flys and odor down... but not a lot... i use it when i clean my trash cans... LOL...

So tiny and cute! I am one of those people that does not get overly excited about things but I do get excited when chicks and ducklings are hatching!

Tricia or ANYBODY have any idea how to get some eggs to where she lives intact! She has trouble when she ships here and I have the same problem with eggs going from here to there. Cracked or broken and scrambled air cells.

I have shipped about 8 different places now and this is the only one that had a rough ride.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. I would like to be able to ship to all parts of the US with eggs arriving intact.

Hi best thing i have seen in packaging is wrapping the eggs in toilet paper then egg carton. But Jerry and Austin sent them also after that in shavings. packed good.
