Regarding omelette: My daughter for a fair project...did a poster on Seramas. It takes 3 serama eggs to equal 1 grade A egg...so if you want to have a 4 (standard size) egg omelette....you would need 12 eggs.

I have some nests attached about 9 feet above the floor in my barn. These nests were intended for use by pigeons, but the OEGB hens love them. I've had several chicks go skydiving from the nest when I miscalculated hatch day....none of them died. Baby chicks are pretty resilient that way

Sorry I have been gone for so long. Life gets really busy sometimes with 2 little kids. I keep hoping that it slows down when they get bigger, but from all reports it just gets busier!

I just hatched out 2 serama that hopefully will be white. I have been wanting them for a while. Our coop has been winterized. Next project will be breeding pens so I can start some color projects!
