what i have dpne with mine is put a duramycin poulice wrapped a few days, changing it out daily, then do the soak in epsom salts, massage the foot to loosen it, and scrape the scab then it pops right out- not sure why the the duramycin works like that- but it seems to help- there was a post in the quail section talking about it


i am getting a pair of Junes birds, and they are beautiful

Some of the new residents. Contrary to the way the pictures look, none of them have wry tails. I think they were just a little freaked out by the camera and were cowering toward the back.

The youngest pullet, on the left above. I'm wondering if she has the chocolate gene some of you talk about. She's the only one in the whole bunch that had this coloring out of about 100 seramas.

Rear view. The coloring may not show up well. For some reason all the pictures I take in that building show up kind of blueish.

The birds look nice ! enjoy them they are a fun breed . the pullet looks wheaten based to me witch somes times makes you think chocolate thats my guess . i have three sisters like that right now all different shades of wheaten but they look chocolate
