-13C/9F and sunny.
Perfect Winter Wonderland-conditions. Went for some sun-hunting with the dogs and the camera. The sun's only completely up for about an hour, so timing is important.

It's quite little for this time a year, maybe 3 ft on open ground. We got a LOT in late november, then it sort of compacted with the rain in december, creating a hard surface. Is this a typical amount of ground cover for snow? I love those Spruce, they are so well adapted to the Boreal forest and the cold weather.
Who's your buddy?

Not surprising, given the historic links between the places. The town I live in at the moment used to be the last/first port of call for any ships making that trip across the Atlantic - whalers, Hudson's Bay Company, some of the famous arctic exploration voyages...All joking aside the accent and mannerism/language is very similar to Newfoundland - right down to the swearing![]()
Beautiful - I loved how the sun would come up at 9:30am, skim across the horizon and then set at 3:30pm when I was working up in the Taiga country (Boreal Forest). Made for gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and lovely sundogs.

We got a lot of snow yesterday in the form of soft, fluffy stuff. It was a workout showshoeing through lol
That's Taiga, and Logan just outside the picture. They're good dogs! Malamutes that love the snow![]()
