Well, I guess I could post something.

Chicken math has gotten ahead of me.

I thought I was pretty well ready for winter with all my birds, but the last few days I have been dealing with frozen water pans and worrying about the cold. It's been 15-18 degrees at night here.

I need to build more cookie tin water heaters, which means I need to buy tins, or buy cookies and have everyone eat A LOT of cookies plus buy supplies and bulbs to make them.

Part of what is slowing me down is the cold temperatures and my arthritis. They just are not a good combination. Anyway, I have a day off work tomorrow so hopefully I can track down some parts and get some made along with pen clean up and rearranging birds. Maybe I can get some more pictures then, too. I wish I could get some GOOD pictures of my little guys. They are still kind of shy (never were handled before I got them) and are not too keen on this picture taking process.

I'd like to know what some of you folks with more experience think of them.

i just started some test breeding of gabby to some of the other hens so we shall see what is thrown
