Good Morning - Here are some pics of our new Serama Barn.
We took a tool shed and put a couple of dog kennels in it.
Then we took a few 1x1s (three at a time) and put them through the
spaces to make a staircase of roosts, and wired a few upside down
gerbil igloos to the roosts for nests.
I use PVC plumbing pipe to make feeders for my large fowl, so I just made a shorter one for these guys.
You can see it on the right side of the picture. And we use the Avian AquaMisers for drinking water.
They are hanging off the side of the kennel.
Here's a close up of the feeder. I tried using smaller pipe in an earlier iteration of this feeder
which you can see here. It was too small to allow for free flowing feed. I thought I needed it so
the little birds could reach into it. But they can reach the larger one.
When you close the barn doors you can let them run around outside the kennel.
Those who don't want to reach into the feeder from a standing position can get up on the perch and reach down.
Everyone is very happy in their new digs!
