Thanks for the clarification! Thought I missed something.......LOL. It really bothers me to waste any of their eggs so I have to find an outlet but I only have 2 laying hens so far and by the time I collect enough eggs, they have to be put right into the bator. Just bought another bator so now I have 2 Brinseas that hold 12 eggs each but Ionly hatch 7 0r 8 at a time.

Know what you mean I have a 6 drawer cabinet incubator but never really have that many to use it for unless i hatch a big batch from all mine.. when i first got it (ITS OLD) i ordered some eggs and collected all my eggs for almost 2 weeks and set think i set 225 eggs (Yeah I was crazy) I thought this things old it'll never work that good.. so you can imagine my face when i opened each drawer on hatch day.. pulled them out and it was like POOOF!!! fluffy butts everywhere.. 175 hatched!!! lol heres a pic of half of them was puttin them in a shipping box, grabbin handfuls to transfer to the brooder LOL

Chicklette, as for the roos getting along...the "MASTER" Joey used this method and it WORKS! get ya a squirt bottle w/ water and if/when they start to get ornery with each other squirt 'em. It works. I hope I got that right. I got a roo from Joey and by golly it did work to break up a scuffle. He can let his guys free range together and just show them the bottle and they say "yes master-I am good".

I sold most of them just kept the seramas but sold them when they were grown or juvy's.. talk about the brooder cleaning and feed! shew I dont even want to think about it lol

i've only got 14 juvies right now.....8 of them roos......and I can't even imagine..l I have been advised to keep them until about 1 year to see what I've really got. I would be able to keep some in an empty coop I have with heat but I love having them in the garage where I have lots of space to enjoy them. So far, my roos are all getting along but I am worried that they will start to fight. Watching them closely.
