Ken, your birds are all very pretty
. I don't have any color projects right now. I'm in my test mating stage. My OEGBs are going to lose their coop to baby Seramas pretty soon, if I'm lucky!
I got some surprises from my July hatch. They've been molting all fall, so I haven't posted many pics. I have two, Johnny and June that I am hopefully going to take the the AZ show. I haven't posted pics of those two. I iust weighed my pullet tonight, and on a full stomach she makes weight!! I don't know what it is, but my pullets were TINY this hatch. 5 1/2 months old, and 9.6 oz on a full stomach. The cockerels are normal weight, 14 -15 oz.
While the tiny size is so novel, I worry that my pullets will have laying problems.
I don't want them to have short lives. I'm perfectly happy with my 14oz'ers. I think I'm better with shrinking cockerels, rather than pullets.
You know what I could use.... I need small pullet, that is at the bottom of the pecking order to be a buddy to my youngest pullet (4-1/2 months) <9oz. She lost her BFF to an internal egg issue, and has nobody that she can relate to. All offers will be considered.
