frontline is the way to go, put it in a serenge squeese a bubble of it out to the tip and place it about one inch from the vent not to mutch, No fertility issues, i think someone may have put an entire tube on a chicken and had a problem, but you really cant go wrong. I believe in it, if bill is using it after all his hatching issues i would think that would make believers out of most. It is safe and does the job!!

Dang it Chicklette!!!! I was so pulling for your chicks to just pop out of it.... This hurts me too.

I just love these little birds so much, even the ones that aren't mine.

I haven't lost hope yet...... just throw the book at them.... what have you got? I'd be trying everything..... what have you got to lose at this point?....... but then again..... vet visits are about the same as a car payment.... Sigh...

how far does one go ? Even the vet at my last visit was like "How much do you want to spend on a chicken?".....

Ken, you have a nice hen line for sure!! I only have one that stands vertically, but she's barely an A now at almost 6 months.....I worry about her reproductive future..... I don't want to see her early demise. She's a sweetie. Seems to be a trend with my 1st gen females,TINY!!. My males are a nice 14-15 oz. But I have new pairs for the new year, fingers crossed that I can hatch some.

Help!

I have serama eggs coming. I'm using a simple incubator and I just wanted some incubating tips. I've hatched other chickens before with poor results. Never tried seramas!

There is N/P to small hens all my 9 oz hens lay every other day and they lay good small eggs ... I have some very small type cockerel and pullets that I cant wait to show off ... They are from my micro projects inthe cocoapop color but very hard to raise when young ...

Thanks for the vote of confidence Ken!! I only have my first on the floor, and my pullets are TINY!!. Not what I"m used to. I lost a pulllet a couple weeks ago, she laid her first egg, and it was internal.....she died within two hours of noticeable symptoms. Freaked me out. I am thinking I don't want anymore tiny pullets anymore. I get too attached. However I have two more that are at the 8-9 oz mark, that I'm worried about. They are at point of lay.....I love the little seramas.... but I'm not so good at taking the losses with the gains.....

For small hen or pullet I dont give them any feed that carries alot of protein until their around 14 months ... that is what I learn from a few of my friends on the east coast try that and see if that will work for you on those small pullets...
