I am just above Colville here. We nearly moved to Republic but moved to the Selkirk mountains instead. Just moved last August - it is SO beautiful here. I do not miss Oly! We're practically neighbors.
I have to use my phone to email myself pictures too. Only problem is that I'm 15 miles outside of town and only get reception when I'm in Colville. We try to stay away from town so we head down the hill maybe once a week. Makes picture posting a bear!
When I read Selkirk Mtns I was thining Oaklahoma or something. LOL. We are neighbors....especially compared to where everyone else is. I have not moved far.....I grew up in Twisp. Moved to the big city of Omak. Hey, we got a Wal*Mart and Home Depot. LOL.
I really have not been to Colville much. Don't blame you for wanting to stay out of town. I love to be home and stay home. I tried to get photos with my phone...through the incubator side....but they were all blurry.
You have Seramas? How long? My Daughter took her Serama to the local county fair and really "up sold" and taught many just how wonderful seramas are. Daughter took grand champion fitting and showing with her rooster Adam.
I also have orpingtons...starting to dabble with the lavendar orps.
I bet you have snow...we don't. you can have it all. LOL.
You must be so proud of your daughter! That is awesome!
I don't blame you for not coming to Colville often... There's a Wal*Mart and that's about it. I am jealous of your Home Depot.
I was born and raised in Yakima - orchard and farm Yakima, not dirty city Yakima. Coming back to the east side is kind of like coming home - no more nasty rainy wet west side! I feel like I'm still drying out, haha.
We have about six inches of snow here above Colville, more falling right now and should keep falling tomorrow. I LOVE the snow! Call me crazy - I have been wandering around outside all day in jeans and a T-shirt. The snow is kind of insulating I guess. We have our own baby deer nursery here. We offer supplemental feeding and all of the mamas have been bringing in their teeny tinies. We have about 10 regulars.
All of the birdies are living in the greenhouse with heat lamps and heaters.
I just started with seramas last spring. I have frizzles, silks, and smooths. They're so precious!
I LOVE lavender orps. They are so pretty! I told myself that I'm going to be good and stick to ONLY having seramas - despite our one pet Polish, Annie.
