I have an Americana Rooster which is very aggressive when we go in the chicken yard or near it. He is georgous, but is continuously mounting the hens and crowing a lot. The hens have feathers missing from their backs and the back of their necks.
They are all large chickens. He is very protective of them, but have been thinking of finding him another home.

Is this normal for the Roosters?

Gorgeous
Protective
Doing rooster duties

CROWING
PLUCKING FEATHERS BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE HANDS TO HOLD ON WITH

Feathers will grow back.

Please give me another chance.

You know where my opinion lies. There are POSITIVES and NEGATIVES

A rooster that gets aggressive towards me is definitely made into soup.......
......if he's aggressive with the hens/pullets takes more observation and analysis of the situation.

How old are birds and how many hens?
What kind of housing?
