Losing feathers on the back? Could they (Ameracaunas) be roosters who are pulling out the feathers of the hens when they mate? That would explain no eggs. lol
No, we have no roosters. Its mostly on the back near the tail. I'll try to figure out how to post a pic. Anyone know how? I did take some. My vet keeps chickens and told me I could use Revolution twice a year for parasites. One drop under each wing and then one above the vent. We are new to farm life--and love it! Last spring we got chickens and dairy goat and joined a CSA. Ourtwo daughters will grow up knowing where food really comes from. yeah!!
