I always feel like showing d’Grubbes is cheating. You know how often my d’Anvers actually have beautiful, complete tails when I actually want to show them?
Not often enough!
Without tails it’s showing on easy mode!

Tell me about it, even for non showers, just people who really enjoy a nice tail. My not so scientific method of observation has led me to believe that serama do not always know what a tail *is*. Two of the pullets keep their tails in good condition. The other likes to squash herself next to the bars, so her tail isn't perfect. Lady Gaga, he's weird. He's chased his tail like a dog...on two separate occasions. D'Grubbles don't have all that. Plus, they look adorable, just the perfect amount of odd and cute

I don't! If I see them again, I will take note! The judge actually came very close to choosing one of the bantam pullets in the AOCCL class, but ultimately chose the Polish. They were nice looking birds. I like them a lot, they're really gorgeous birds. Would love seeing them in black!

Just had to share my excitement over my girl Sweet Pea We showed at the Pacific Poultry Breeders Assoc Show in Lodi and there were 44 d’Anvers! The most I’ve seen shown in two years around here. And my girl Sweet Pea got Reserve of Breed! Super thrilled I couldn’t catch her in a good pose at the show, but she poses a lot at home Jager, my cock that has been doing well this year got RV as well. I’m super proud of them. I even got to compete against other people with black d’Anvers this time. The biggest variety was quail as you’d guess, at 23, and BB was a pretty quail girl. I also wandered around with my white d’Anver pullet Dora and got several people to ask about them and the breed. So many still don’t know them well! I mean, she’s just adorable
