Ameruacana or Easter Egger?

I have 17 eggs now but my hens won't set them! Pesky birds haha. I am in serious need of an incubator! I'd hate for my eggs to go bad, so far I have them sitting under my geko's heat lamp. And his tank stays around 85 with a deceant humidity to the tank. I'd get a stronger wattage but I don't want to fry my lizard! Any suggestions?

Maybe look up how to make homemade incubator. Also if you have any golf balls or egg sized rocks, you can put them in one certain spot. That is one way to encourage them. :)

Eggs incubate at 99.7-101*, so the lizard tank is not hot enough. If you click on the coop section at the top of the page, there is a section for homemade incubators, some made from old fridges, coolers, etc.

They lay their eggs in the same spot, they just won't nest or sit on them. I'm guessing cause they are just starting to lay, and its only the few hens that I have free ranging. My hens in the pen's won't lay even though they appear to all be the same age and the roosters have been doing their duty, I guess the broody part of my hens have been bred out haha.

Your hens may not be the broody type, or they may know its not the best time to hatch chicks. Ive have at least 1 broody almost all spring, sumer, and fall. I havnt had a broody for 2 months now. None of my EE have gone broody, its my cochins, silkies, and seramas.
