Hello! I am new to chickens and was wondering, do I just keep the chick starter bowl full for them? or do they only need/ should have a certain amount daily?

Feed them as much as they will eat at all times. Also get some chick sized grit and sprinkle it on the bottom of their brooder. Use granite grit. It's sharp to build a stronger gizzard and sparkly to attract the chicks attention. What breed of birds do you have and how many?

I use the Plastic 1 Quart Jar Feeder because it doesn't rust.

Search around the Net for the best prices. I pay about 10.00 for 50 lbs. of grit. At Agway, I can buy it by the lb. . Always good if you have a small flock like mine.
