Amoxicillin and chickens

I think the amoxicillin dose for chickens is 125mg/kg twice a day or 100mg/kg three times a day. 1kg = 2.2 pounds, so unless your bird is small, you probably aren't giving enough. :D

Hello. Is this the accurate dosage mg for amoxicillin 300mg daily? I have a 3.12 pound barred. Think she has an internal infection and want to make sure of the correct dosage. Trying to help her recover. She is a sweet bird. Thanks

3.12 pound dose:
3.12 / 2.2 x 125 = 177 mg twice a day.

Can you post a picture of the bottle?
I was searching and found this thread— could I use this for my chicken? She seems to have an abscess in her face between her ear and beak, it’s like a marble and she seems miserable. I’m hoping some antibiotics will help. Your thoughts are appreciated! She’s not coughing or sneezing or having any discharge. Just a big hard mass under her ear. ☹️

Can you post a picture and let me know what she weighs?
It’s hard to tell from the pics, but if you look at the one of her from the front you can see that her left side is swollen up much bigger than the right. I’ve never weighed her so we are going to go do that now. Thank you for your help!
