This is the water snake taking the catfish down.

Here's a pic of a rat snake from last year.We see more nonvenomous snakes than the poisonous ones around.

Another thing I want yall to know is I'm here at home all day, everyday. I rarely get away during the day.I'm an outdoors type person & always keeping an eye out for my flock. They let me know if there's a snake in the yard,lol.

LONG HANDLED HOE! I've killed several rattlesnakes with one.

The DUMBEST thing I ever did was mistake a new baby rattlesnake for a baby chicken snake. We used to catch and release but no more because I'm too much of a duma$$! I'm pretty much a duma$$ where guns are concerned too.....guess I'm down to hoes and shovels.....and freezers...(sigh)....don't ask.
