he put a wing around her and quietly said "i need to go gather some food, you can join me if you want" and he walked away into the woods

while eragon was walking he wasn't really watching where he was going and ran into a group of racoons "hey watch it buddy" the racoon hissed "you might just become lunch" it smiled bearing its long sharp teeth

eragon jumped then started backing up slowly

the racoons noticed what he was doing and circled around him the lead one said "whats the matter? afraid much? we won't hurt you too bad, once we break your neck you won't feel anything" the other racoons beared their teeth in gruesome smiles

eragon stopped backing up and said "leave me alone,"

the racoon looked at him like he was crazy "why? what could you do to hurt us?"

eragon thought for a moment, he was too weak now to fight with magic so what was there left to do?

falyn could smell the stench of the raccoons and flew up into the trees to find eragon but she found him with many raccoons

eragon looked up and saw falyn he sent her a mind message "stay away i don't want you to get hurt they havn't seen you yet" he wanted her to stay away because of all the magic she had been using she was probobly weak and he didn't wan't her using magic or fighting. so he started trying to distract the racoons taunting them "you probobly couldn't catch me" he said "i bet i could defeat you with my eyes closed"

the leader growled and swatted at eragon knocking him on his side then it pinned him down "i don't like your attitude little chicken" it growled

eragon was feeling brave so he pecked its eye

the racoon yelped (?) and stepped back

eragon stood up and taunted it again "wow you're slow!" he said jumping side to side

"evil little creature!" the racoon yelled jumping at him scratching one of his legs while eragon was in the air

"evil? i'm not the one trying to eat something thats small even by their standards" he said jumping again dispite the pain in his leg
