She has to much white in her tail and wings.
It was well worth the 1hr drive and $5 parking fee (with six kids we pack our lunch most everywhere we go): My 14 year old son does most of the chicken work and has always been on board with the Ancona's, it's the next two, 9 and 7 year old girls that were giving me grief. The 9 year old loves White Crested Black Polish and the 7 year old Gold Laced Wyandotte's. Finally they decided on New Hampshire's. All the while I have a deposit on 25 Rose Comb Ancona chicks (from you know who). The girls watched pee wee and junior showmanship, both the girls want to show birds. They saw the New Hampshire's, pretty but big, tough for their little hands to work with. They ogled over the Polish as always; I explained that although the Polish are small and show well they require great care to look that way (OMG that crest). Then there's the Little Mottled Chicken that could! Just the right size and no special care required!
