Ancona Ducks

So why is mine dancing and rocking? It was more toward the middle of my LG incubator. Also should I be misting them now that they are on lockdown?

Sometimes they start rocking early, I wouldn't worry about it just keep a watch on it for when it pips. I don't mist, just make sure the humidity is around 65% and once they start pipping I raise it to 75% or just keep it 70-75% through day 25- hatching.

They do move around more than chick eggs. They are busy in there. :0) I don't mist once they are in lockdown just make sure the humidity is bumped up. Good luck!! I just love hatching duckies!

OK. I just got them moved to my hatcher and the humidity is around 55% because they have chickens in with them

Hey, I've been up in Humboldt for a long time. We have two ancona ducks right now, a breeding pair that were having trouble getting to hatch eggs from. We have been looking for more, where did you get the ducklings at? Absolutely love this breed and hoping to have more.

A lady at the farm store breeds and sells Ancona ducks. We are getting three ducklings from her at the end of April. She might have more available. When we asked her about them at the end of March we were the first to have asked about getting some ducklings
