I have 5 eggs pipping and one has made a pretty good hole. Ive not hatched ducks so not sure how long it takes but noticed the pips yesterday on a few. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow Ill have some babies. I havent had luck with shipped chicken eggs but so far the ducks are proving to be pretty tough.

Three little ones and another is breaking out. Im not sure about the 5th one yet. Im pretty impressed with the little brinsea mini incubator for these eggs. I had my hovabator on standby to move them over after they hatched to dry off...working pretty good.

We've never had to clip toenails and we've always had around 50 birds here at any one time.

Nope they wear them down on their own. Anconas are wonderful active foragers.

The one at the bottom here, looks like its tail will be lavender but it's back will be white. How cute!
