So cute Darth Bantam! The ducklings in the pics look to be black. Thereare buff anconas, but not in this batch as I was hoping....

Look up buff ancona ducks in google images. That should bring them up. When you purchase anconas you generally can't pick which colors you get as they run together. It's all by chance. Thelonger and more that you invest in them the better chance you'll have getting the colors you want.

Thanks! Yeah this little one is the standard black and white. Ive decided to name this one Han Solo. I will likely be picking up another tomorrow I plan to call Leia.

Ancona crazy- I tried to look it up but didn't find anything, are they just normal ancona with normal buff color? And is there a chance that if you bred any two colors together you could get all the colors possible? Or would it have to be in their recent bloodlines?

Ducklover87 - That is awesome! Thats the only part about naming them when they are young that kinda sucks....but I dont suppose its a big deal really.

Silkies~Polishes - Yeah, I am a Star Wars fan for sure. I have a Quaker Parrot named Obi-wan and a European Starling named Anakin. Plus Im in the process or naming the chickens we havr that are mine.
