Wholeheartedley agree - NO diets....been avidly reading my pocket guide to Florence and can't wait to visit as many galleries and museums as humanely possible, our hotel is right smack in the middle of the historic quarter, and looks so beautiful, and I can still have what I originally asked for for my pressie, a trio of "Sultans" and 10 sheets of plyboard....making some arks....happy days...tra la la happy happy happy!

"Sis", I am sooooo happy for you! I haven't been there, but one of my best friends lived there for a year while getting her degree in art history and has been back twice since then. She loves, loves, loves it there and the whole Tuscany region. I had the opportunity to go with her a few years ago, but decided not to go because I wanted my first time in Europe to be with my DH. You will have a wonderful adventure! Be sure to take lots of photos and share them and your experience with us poor souls here on BYC who don't get to join you!

I wish I knew how to say "Have a lovely trip" in Italian, but English will have to do!

Arrividerci!
