I had to really, really talk my wife into getting chickens.....finally today we got our 1st flock and I have spent most of the day chicken watching like a fool...the best part is that she has joined me most of the time.....

here she is holding her fav...the chickie slept on her for like 30 min...and that's one of our dog's Bella slepping by her.

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! My DH wanted nothing to do with the chickens I was getting. He said they were stinky and would tear up his garden so I had to build my coop in the pasture away from the yard. Now! Now! he has 4 coops of his own with 5 different types of show quality bantam chickens and a flock of laying ducks. He's got 2 incubators, one of which is currently full on day 14.

It's been a fight to keep him from getting geese and turkeys.

Oh come-on...lol. This HAD to be an easy sell. Tiny, adorable peeping fluffballs, so helpless looking, so sweet.... I think she was an easy convert
