Hi,

I believe one of my baby quails has "angel wing" or some other wing disorder. One side of the wing is developing differently for the other wing, but his/her flight feathers are not fully out. My other quail is developing normally.

Both of these quails were rescued in Beijing, China and looked mostly dead when I got them, so I have been nursing the back to health.
Previously they and their parents (and so forth) only ate bread
Their current diet consists of 15-20% chicken feed, mealworms, a little cracked corn and millet, some finch feed, and vegetables (which they do not eat or eat only a little ) I am not sure if it is diet caused because the other bird is developing normally

He/she doesnt appear to be in any pain, and when flapping his/her wings acts normally.

I have attached a picture below of the other wing which appears to look quite normal

Looking for any help or ideas or solution to help solve it. Thank you so much in advance!

It may molt out of stay like that. It could just be a genetic anomaly or maybe an injury from when it was tiny (as they were in less than ideal conditions before you came along)!

I have a boy with extra long cheek feathers on one side. He looks really cute and is absolutely normal healthwise. I bred him myself and he's the only one like this. He's a sweetie too. Here he is:
