Angel Wing Question

That one wing the feathers are dragging the ground? Is this on both sides? I’ve never seen them hang like that if no blood left in those feathers I’d probably clip if mine. But let’s see what @Isaac 0 thinks
O-yes both sides on both ducklings doing the same hanging thing. Other wing is still wrapped up in place.

What I’ve seen with mine and it’s mainly my big Muscovy drakes when they are growing in their flight feathers is they drop they adjust they drop they adjust but they don’t drag the ground. I think it maybe more prominent with ducks that fly since their wing span is larger? Let’s wait on @Isaac 0 he has Calls that fly maybe he has seen this.

I would feel better if I knew for sure all would be ok in the end if left alone. I would feel absolutely awful for doing nothing if wrapping them was the fix and didn't try to correct it.

I've never seen this with any of my birds.
IMO, they seem to do better wrapped because they are not hanging and get in their way. These are the two runts of the batch of ten and both doing the same thing. Maybe just try the wrap for a few days first to see if that works like you recommended doing in a early post. Then maybe clip feather 2nd if still a problem? Thank again Isaac 0 :)

If it’s diet how come only 2 of yours have it? What are you feeding them?
This is what I have been :he my head on the wall about. Since they are the runts and have a little slower grow rate then the others. I am thinking when I switched from the special duck crumbles to the other chick feed, they may have still needed a little more of the good stuff to help finish developing.

I just came in from outside and noticed with their little wing tips tied up into place, they seem very active and happy. I am far from any type of Duck expert and don't play one on TV, I am just trying to do the very best I can for them little babies.:love
