I could try that. Another problem with Chili is that he loves the camera, so he always puts his face right into it. Then I end up with pictures like this.

Same! It's like right when they make a cute face and your camera is lined up they need to be snuggly. But on the sofa watching TV they run up and down the top of the couch

@Everose What kind of brush works the best for Rex fur? This rubber curry comb worked okay as far as removing the loose fur from her coat but the brush itself didn't hold on to it wellso there was a lot of fur blowing around the room and getting on me.

Wet hands, rub the brush down her and then rub your wet hand right behind it. You can also groom her on a piece of carpet and then smash the hair onto it. There's also velvety hair grabby gloves.
I personally just brush outside, less mess.
