Angry Chicken!!!

Oh, and I should say... don't let anyone say anything to her about being in a diaper. My Henrietta was the first to tolerate a diaper... she did very well, acted like it was never there. THEN... Louie, our roo, said something derogatory to her about her pretty diaper and she wouldn't let me get near her again with it. She was fine for months... as soon as I would get it out, she would squatt to be picked up. One word out of Louie and it was all over.

Not against this at all... my daughter keeps telling me she is going to get a diaper and hide her chicks in her closet... LOL
I have one major question.... not the poop thing....
What about them laying eggs in their diaper? That has got to be uncomfortable and heavy...

Typically she lays her egg in her cage... while I'm at work. But the one time she did, it was no biggie... she laid it and my hubby took it out.

My daughter likes to have Emily help her with her homework. It is so cute, they both lay on her bed looking at the book with DD writing down her answers. It is even cuter when they are both looking at the computer.

I dunno either, i think one member just posted that she takes her outside and she goes as soon as the diaper is removed and the diaper is clean. That to me shows control, but it just may be luck?

I was always told they couldn't hold it either, but maybe it is just timing... either way... she doesn't mind the diaper, doesn't mind being taken outside to go... and is an all around very sweet little chicken. She gets lots of outside time... I especially like her in during the evenings... she sits on my lap cooing...

One of my friends diapers both chickens and ducks. She has tried several models and she said tht the ones that don't cover the tails are much better tolerated than those that do. She has one currently for her duck and it is made out of a spandax material that is stretchy with covered elastic straps. She fits it pretty snugly on the body and the pouch where the diaper goes is not smashed up against the vent so there is no problems with poo getting stuck to the feathers. And it is usually dirty-her duck doesn't 'hold it'.
