Animals are disappearing from my ranch...

My thoughts are 2 legged also. Alot of the people I know that keep goats and sheep put Donkeys in with them to protect them. If it was coyote or wolf I think you would find some sign of a kill I have heard of large birds of prey able to carry off small animals. The best thing I know is a game camara to catch whoever or whatever it is.

OMG... it gets worse... So i went to go post the camera right... and I notice one of the goat kids with a rope around its neck... but the funny thing is that it was tyied in human form... like the way a person ties a rope around the neck of an animal.. not they way a rope would get caught and tangled by an animal...

So I called my dad to see if he was trying to ROPE a goat... and he said NO... and asked me why, and I explained to him that I found a noose around the neck of one of the goats and the rope was trailing behind like someone lasoed him and he got a way with the rope... so Now it looks like two legged theifs... Im waiting for my father to get home so we can evalutate the situation..

P.S. My father and I live on the same ranch... We live 100 feet from each other and both share the ranch..

Just as an FYI...

Wish I lived closer, would love to give you a hand.
Hate when people mess with my animals and tresspass

with trail camereas get the infra red, no flash.

Someone (human) is helping themselves to your livestock. That is truly creepy, and I hope you catch them on film, but please be careful. People willing to steal may cause you harm as well.

Be very careful. I had an uncle killed by a pig thief with a shot gun.

Thats completely untrue. mountain lions are common throught California and other western states. I have seen one near my house and they are often seen here in recreation areas. It is also thought that it is likely that there are some Jaguar in Southern California, Arizona and Possibly Texas or New Mexico.

WOW... talk about no shame... Thats so stupid... if your gonna steal a pig... why are you gonna kill the farmer? Is killing a pig really worth it... I mean, what are these theifs thinking? UGH... makes me so angry...

I read online that in Texas, it still stands as law that anyone caught stealing cattle or livestock is subject to punishment by death.

I also read that it is a 3rd degree felony if

===
5) a felony of the third degree if the value of the property stolen is $20,000 or more but less than $100,000, or the property is:

(A) 10 or more head of cattle, horses, or exotic livestock or exotic fowl as defined by Section 142.001, Agriculture Code, stolen during a single transaction and having an aggregate value of less than $100,000;

there is an anti-horse thief laws are still on the books, such that stealing horses is to this day punishable by death by hanging in the state of Texas. Not that I plan on stealing any horses, lol! The interesting "twist" to it, is that this acquaintance said that it is legal in Texas in the case of horse theft, for people to make "citizen's arrests" with respect to horse thieves, and even carry out the penalty themselves. So in other words apparently if somebody catches a horse thief, a group of citizens can hang this horse thief with perfect legality.
