If you add more backlight and less details (the line thingies)on the ears it might look better.

I`m not going to change that sorta thing again because the line-art is old and I want to be able to track my line-art progress and the program I`m using for this picture is a butt-head and I don`t think it will let me keep most of the grey but add lighting :/

Yup. Not hideous. I just rushed on it, but got all the basic shapes except the tail. That is hard. I hate coloring my drawings.
