Thanks! She is resting now, hopefully gathering her strength for the big moment. I am so worried something will go wrong, I just wish that first pup would come I would feel so much better. She is still panting/breathing heavy, and a bit of shivering as she is laying there eyes closed till she realizes I'm looking at her, then she opens them and stairs at me.

Hoping for a puppy soon! and if there are none till 4 or 5 am I am blaming Glenmar!

She is awake now, sitting up and panting, she had some water around 9:30-10 but refused it the last two times I offered it to her, she has moved to the other side of the box and is laying down again, I really think it might be a long night. She is sitting up again, I moved the water closer, but she is digging now at her puppy pads, and newspaper. Still have not seen a water bag or strong contractions.

Just thought of this, can the stuff in the puppy pads hurt her? We tried just newspaper but she would have none of it. She is tearing them to shreds, all the cotton stuff is coming out. She did just have a drink and is sitting still panting and stairing at me at the moment. DH says just let her be for a while. I know after the window well incident we will NOT being going outside again. Its storming again here as well, if she pees on the floor so be it, better then having pups outside in the rain, well she laid down again. Guess we are taking another break.

Most puppy pads contain polymer crystals like those that are in baby diapers. Even if she is shredding them, I wouldn't assume it would be bad for her. From what I read on the crystals, they are non toxic. I purchased a pound of them to use as a substrate for wheat grass germination/growth.

She's not eating the puppy pads, though - just shredding them, right?

I have to get some sleep, but I'm going to check your thread first thing in the morning! I hope you have pups by then!

not eating them, just tearing them up, I don't even see the crystals just looks like cotton to me, She is now laying on the bare bottom of the pool as both the rug samples and all the paper and pads are pushed to the other side, lots of panting going on. Have a good night, thanks for hanging in with me, I am not sure there is anyone else still awake. She keeps cleaning her front feet, stairing at me and panting. DH is watching some action movie and a gun went off on it, she jumped and looked at me. " I was like its okay its just on tv." she calmed down and went back to the panting, tearing and digging.

me too. Seems like it should be soon, yet I have still not SEEN a contraction, she wanted to go out again so I put the lead on her, she took to steps in the rain and changed her mind again. I was sitting near her a while as she kept getting out of her box to be near me, reading 101 dalmations the original book. What a great book that is! So hope for less the 15 puppies though! lol I wondered as I read it how large Misses would of really been carrying 15 dalmatian puppies.

Annie is sitting up and panting now, at what time should I offer her a bit to eat? her dry food is down of course, but I have chicken broth (in a can) as well a bit more canned food here. Shall I wait till at least we see a pup? She has not vomitted up what she took in earlier today, but has nothing to eat since about 6pm. She is laying down again now, but it doesn't last long before she is up again. I think we are getting closer.
