Annoying fly’s! Please help!!

We have 3 ducks, we are pretty much done building their coop but we still have quite a bit to do with the chicken coop and the big enclosure we built. They have attracted so many flies in our garage. I looked up some remedies that we could do. One of them said to use essential oils in a spray. There’s water, vinegar, and real vanilla extract plus the essential oils in this spray. My question is are these ingredients safe for my ducks and chickens?

I'd not waste the time and I'd get something that will work such as:
Martin's Horse & Stable Permethrin Spray
