Looks like a pullet to me so far, since the comb isn't RED and i don't see much if any wattle development. 11-14 weeks you should be seeing pointy saddle and hackle feathers if the chick is male.

I still say female. No developed comb or wattles. At 7 weeks a rooster would be obviously developed.

First time this week I've been able to get a pic without rain... 8 Weeks old on Monday and Banana is still puzzling me - still hoping it's a girl. Any thoughts appreciated. Let me down gently if I am calling it Brian rather than Poppy. (The three year old in charge of naming changed her mind from Lilly to Poppy hence the possible name change if it's a girl)

I sent a pic to the farm I got the eggs from they think Poppy's a marans cross, anyone got any idea if they're ok in a large run for most of the day with just an hour or so a day out gardening?
