Another broody, does this set up look safe/okay?

My second experience with a broody hen! I was able to spot the behavior change right away this time so I am hoping I can break her of it more quickly. Does this set up look alright? She is on the bigger side. She has water, food, is in the shade and has hardware cloth on bottom with the bottom extended off the ground. The other BO I had really went crazy in this cage but this BO seems a little less frenzied.

What will you do in the rain?

I put a chunk of sheet metal over mine to provide a roof and a rain-shield on the windward wall:

Good point! I put some extra roofing material atop it. Thankfully when I woke them up this morning and she came down from her roost, the Brookings seems to be gone! She is in the run eating and scratching the ground with the rest of them. I hope it continues!

Yep.
Except that roost is useless, too close to the wall.
Just take a piece of 2x4 and put it on the floor to give her feet a break from the mesh.

Funny you say that, my husband noticed the same thing so he moved it to the middle. Thankfully her broodiness ended the next morning!
