Forgot to add that I think -8- might be a good number of eggs to offer. If some say 6 is too few, and some say 12 is too many, 8 might be something we could compromise on

For those of us using broody hens and not incubators, can you delay delivery of eggs until the broody goes at it? I'm happy to send eggs out when swapped, but would need to wait for incoming eggs until the tempermental little silkies got with the plan. Still workable?

That would be entirely up to your swap mate. If you see something youre interested in, PM the person first and see if they would be able to delay shipment until you could take it. I would think most everyone would be able to comply with a request like that.
