On Tuesday was the first time I had a fly-in in a few years and then today when I go outside I see another bird... I kept the one that flew in on Tuesday (still got to contact the owner) and now this other bird comes. This bird has a green ring on it. I wonder if my birds being out has to do with it. But the person who has pigeons around near where I live is a few Kilometres away and my birds don't fly that far.

The bird that came on Tuesday (ignore the highflyer in the background):

That short of a distance could easily be navigated by a pigeon flying in the area. Pigeons have been found to be able to detect sounds in the infrasonic range at frequencies as low as 0.5 Hz. For frequencies below 10 Hz, the pigeon threshold is at about 55 dB which is at least 50 dB more sensitive than humans.

: Pigeons have amazing eyesight, and can even see ultraviolet light (humans can't even see that!), and because of their excellent eyesight, pigeons have been used in human search and rescue missions.

Those are just 2 superior senses pigeons have over humans which enables them to make contact with birds of their own kind.
