Anyone know of cheap practice ammo for .40 cal handguns? My dad just got one, and dang, any decent amount of practice with some of this ammo will cost a fortune!

Blazer or "white box" Winchester is fairly cheap shooting. Plus the brass is pretty good if you wanna get into reloading. Save a ton of money like that.

Sometimes you can find some foreign ammo for real cheap, but beware, some of that stuff is really dirty and will foul your action.

what they said!! beware the cheap cheap stuff. dirty, won't always fire, etc etc

.40 cal isn't cheap. I think a box at Wally here is $20? A few years ago, it was $7!!

Go to the range and scavenge brass. Pick up a cheap reloader and reload away. The only .40S&W that I ever purchase are defense rounds which are always ridiculously priced.

Yes, the cheap stuff makes the gun dirty, you have to clean it more. And you do get a jam now and then. I had to buy some when there was a shortage after the last presidential election. But I won't anymore.
