It might be, until the dead of winter hits and they can't go outside. Chicken Cabin Fever is real....and it's Ugly.

Yeah, winter is a big concern for me in northern Minnesota. I have built a chicken coop that provides just over 7 sq feet per bird expecting that they will be spending many cold days in the coop itself. This is my first year with laying hens, so I have yet to experience winter with them. Hope it goes well.

It's the snow, and wind, and freezing rain. Winter! Having extra space under a roof is essential.
