I think your first is a phoenix roo and my guess for the second is a phoenix hen?

The second one looks like a Modern Game bantam.

I think you are right about the phoenix chickens...I know nothing all about Game chickens modern or otherwise.

A phoenix should have dark gray or slate colored legs, hope that helps you figure it all out! I remember when I got my first shipment of chicks, it was fun and frustrating all at the same time trying to figure it all out.

Yup that would be the one...but mine is a hen also from MM. Now she needs a home to go to as there is only one. Plus, I have decided almost for certain to only keep the cochins and the Silkies. Possibly a pair of phoenix. LOL I am sooooooo confused.

Yes you are correct it has been a very fun and frustrating adventure. But I have been luck and only lost one chick.
