Another Newbie from MASS

Howdy,

I've been looking at BYC for months now getting ideas for the coop I plan on building this spring. The wife and I are about to close on our first home, so I figured what better way to celebrate then getting some chickens. Planning on starting off small, the wife wants a pair of Buff Silkies and I'm hoping for a couple a standard Barred Rocks. We'll post pictures once the ice melts and constructions begins.

So when you said,"we are starting off small." - my reaction was, "yeah right."

If only you knew....I have 18 chicks on order to arrive in late February. Since I placed my original order my friends and I are now up to 34 birds amongst the three of us.

So welcome aboard and surrender to the need for more- we are all standing behind you (saying,"More, more, get more.) You are already set up for disaster as you mentioned the "Evil Silkie."
