Another reason texting can be bad

That was a funny video. How could those people walking by act like they didn't notice that? The splash alone would've drawn my attention. After she got out and walked away, the people crossing behind her that had to have seen it didn't even look at her.

Hey, she got her 15 minutes of fame. They should give her a free picture with Santa Claus though.

Why sue....

1. You can't be recognized from the video (except by people who already know you).

2. The mall owns the video and can actually sell it if they wanted to. You are being filmed in a public place.

3. Who made you walk into the fountain?

I would laugh my butt off and walk away if I did it.

She should send the video to Americas Funniest Videos. Maybe she could make some money that way.

Now we'll probably start seeing fences around mall fountains.

Yeah, I see how this could have happened, what with the fountain only taking up HALF of the mall-sheesh.
If this had happened to me, to a person, everyone I know would have been laughing so hard, they would've fallen in as well(and I'd have done the same to them).
This person just needs to build a bridge and get over it(and try not to fall off said bridge).

If she was so engrossed by her phone that she couldn't see a knee-high wall that went halfway across the mall, I say, "hang up and walk! Baby strollers are one heck of a lot smaller; what if she had fallen on a child? I've seen malls with plantings where fountains used to be, maybe doing a face-plant among the philodendrons would have appealed to her more?

At least not text while getting over the bridge! Or she may try to sue herself for not having anything to grab to keep balance!

Why? because you were too stupid to watch what where you're walking.
How? See Newton, Isaac -- Law of Gravity

Yes she's embarrassed (and rightly so), and not happy about her klutziness being shown to millions of people. Is the mall responsible for that? No. Is whoever stole the video and posted it culpable? Yep. Go after the INDIVIDUAL, not the mall. Shades of Stella...

Notice how she actually lifts her leg up a little higher than walking-height before she falls in. If she'd been taking normal steps, she would have brused the bottom parts of her legs, possibly her knees, but NOT fallen in. She wasn't walking that fast.

And look at the movement of the video. Someone was watching and moving the position of the camera at the exact right time. Coincidence? I'm thinking someone in the security office might have hooked up with her.

So ... my opinion? She did it on purpose. She's a scam artist, looking at time because of that credit card theft thing. She'll probably sue, and the judge will throw the book at her for wasting the court's time.

Idiot.
