I thought she was a Buff Orpington when I got her, but she has gotten noticeably darker with age, so what breed is she?

This one, I'm thinking is an Easter Egger, but just want to make sure:

thanks!

The first is a Buff Orpington cross. (white legs) Couldn't tell you if it is with Production Red or New Hampshire though.

Second is an Easter Egger.

Thanks!
Even though I knew #2 was an EE, the poor woman that sold her to me said she was an Ameraucana; she also said she's laying eggs now because she was introduced to the rooster...
Bless her heart!

Believe me, I wanted to but I didn't have the heart. I know I should have, but how do you do something like that when the person seems to be a little on the 'slow' side? Never mind the fact that she was a complete stranger...

Never try to educate the uneducable (is that a word?). They are always right. We have many right here on BYC.

Back on topic: orpington X and EE (mutt.) Please don't get mad that I called your EE a mutt.
