Jeremy-Yup, the top one is the Schilling and Walt said it's the best one to use! EVERYONE print it out and hang it in your coops!
Amy, bodies are good. We are looking for members!
Stacy, what do you mean "make a chat room" ? I am so computer illiterate that it's not funny. I did just go on Chatzy.com to look and see, and I might be able to figure that one out and call our first unofficial meeting for sometime next week and see what people want, and what they will contribute/do to help get this up and running. Marty has said to basically "take it" and run, he is very busy. At this point the web site is extremely inexpensive and good for a year.
The chair of the Marans website/club is going to help advise us, did I tell you all that?
Kathy, everyone, help me remember who has Dels, we can pm them. Cindiloohoo, Highspringschix, Germaine, Joanne - there are lots more been on here - Bassleg, Har, - Kathy, you know everyone- help!
Well... add a chatroom to a page. If his web server will allow it, given the right program, you can add a chatroom or forum to the page. There are a TON of host companies. It just depends who he has. Like my page... I have gone through bravenet, homestead, intuit.... even way back in the day I think I went through some now obsolete hosts.
Alot of these companies make "add ons" very easy for people. add a clock, add a message board, add a guestbook, add whatever.... it just depends on who he has. I guess that would be the first step.
I was planning on making a Del page durring my layoff at work. I was going to use homestead for it. Maybe even make a forum like this, only more serious breeders... not just pet owners... make it more serious, less.... hmmmm... what's the word.... social.
A simple chat add on feature would be great for social reasons. Forums would definitely be a "must have". Beth, let me talk to a friend of mine down in Florida. He's the main tech guy over at another website that I frequent. John knows various hosting programs inside and out, and even if he's not available to help us directly, I'm sure he'll have a lot of good insight to contribute and consider. Bits and snippets of "nickels worth of free advice" types of things.

I could get used to being called Sir Jeremy... maybe I'll hop the pond to get knighted and pick up some English Orps while I'm at it.
I think a chat feature for the proposed Delaware site would be a good addition, it would allow us to have in the moment conversations about things that sometimes don't get across as clearly as they should in a forum based conversation. You know?
So where do we sign up? When do we start adding things to the site? Come ON people!
