Anxious wait.....do chickens have special powers?

Hi Jennifer, That's a chicken saddle........my boys are very big, heavy, and well so enthusiastic that they manage to make the hen's backs sore. I can recommend saddles, the hen doesn't even seem to notice that they are there,

Thank you all for your encouragement, and Jetblack I feel truly privileged to live in a Welsh farmhouse which is probably over 200 years old (even if it can be a bit wet and windy!)

Well, thank you to everyone or the encouragement during the hatch.

5 healthy and gorgeous chicks running around in the sunshine makes me more than happy. They look to be 4 Gold Brahma and 1 Blue Partridge.
