any advice on lockdown?

Good to hear!!
Yeah it sure does get them socialised especially when we have the kids on the summer holidays doing summer workshops in the pet shop that the vets is in.
Well as only 2 of the 12 Cayuga eggs that were shipped were fertile I think they are going to send replacement eggs. Plus I need more Cayuga friends for little hope :D. Aww, do you keep all that you hatch?
Of course I will :)

Do you have any idea what colour the brown/khaki coloured ones will grow into? I have 4 that are that sort of colour and then the darker one, that one seems much more chilled out than the others so I'm wondering if it may be a drake.

I try to keep most of my females for breeders, and sell alot of the males or rotate them up.

I did a new count today... I up to 97 birds now, including my 12 ducks. I have several chicken breeds, and had a few broody hens this year, so they kinda multiplied quickly! (ok, 2 incubators helped!! LOL)

You may also want to check out this thread. It is a nice incubating thread with lots of good folks. Some very experienced hatchers and some very in-experienced hatchers, all helping each other! Its fun to see what everyone has going on, and share experiences, if you would like to join in! Its not overly chatty, and not too hard to keep up with.

I saw you had gotten some help over there, but the one I linked is much easier to keep up with. Actually stays on incubating primarily. :D

I will definitely be on there if I get them other Cayuga eggs then!! I've just subscribed.

Here's another squishy pic of my 6. Starting from top left is the first to hatch, going left to right for 2nd, 3rd ect. Any idea what colour they may grow into? 2 are more of a chocolate brown and the other two are kinda a khaki colour...

Oh my gersh!!!

They are soooo darling!

I have no idea how the colors will turn out, @Miss Lydia may have a better idea. But boy are they cute! Subtle differences in them all.

So its 5 runners and 1 Cayuga, right?

@RavynFallen is also good with how colors develop as they grow...

Oh my word. I am envious you get to hold these little warm things. I'd be soaking them with kisses.
