Did it have to do with literature at all?
(Our literature/English classes had quite a few ”dark” writings. Especially Edgar Allan Poe…. But the worst one was “The most dangerous game”.)

It did have to do with literature, we had book clubs and I read The Hobbit so I could discuss it and share fan art with people. But we also evaluated video games and Siddhartha and movies.
A couple years ago I read that story in English class. “The Most Dangerous Game” was actually pretty good imo.
