I'm back with progress on this after an involuntary hiatus due to excessively fidgety technical difficulties.

Shading is next, then the diamond goes in.

I don’t think I could do that. I’m picky about my mechanical pencil erasers. They must be straight across the top with sharp edges, so I only erase with the pencil totally vertical unless it is totally necessary.
I can’t stand a rounded eraser.
