So it turns out my Plo Koon Dad drawing kinda blew up on Tumblr (if you count 470 notes blowing up when I usually get less than 30).
It's weird though. Like I'll draw one thing and it will get 0 attention, then I'll draw something else and it gets hundreds of notes. I have to analyze my art now and see what will get me the most attention. Then maybe I can share with you my findings.

Okay, looking at every drawing that got lots of notes vs no notes--here are my findings:

I have no flying clue.

OCs and non-fandom always get virtually no attention though. And sometimes if I draw something for a different fandom than usual it attracts lots of non-followers? but idk

I think its because I could look at fan art for a beloved book for hours but not at people's random OC. I feel a loving connection to the fan art.
