Anyone have any tips for making up/designing your own species of creature. I see SO MANY PEOPLE designing their own species of animals, and I love them all, but I really want to design my own mythical species.
I've looked up multiple how to's, but those haven't helped, so I've turned to you all!
Am I not think outside the box enough?

I tried digital drawing but I just rather hand drawing,I sketch mostly nature but sometimes humans.....but I find it hard to draw the right human proportions
